Rules for Travelling with Pets

1. General Rules

1.1. The carriage of pets is permitted only with the prior approval of the carrier and subject to available space.
1.2. The passenger must inform the carrier of their intention to travel with a pet at least [24/48] hours before departure.
1.3. The carrier reserves the right to refuse the carriage of an animal if the safety, hygiene, documentation, or comfort requirements for other passengers are not met.

2. Animals Accepted for Carriage

2.1. As a rule, dogs, cats, and other small pets are accepted for carriage only if they can be transported safely.
2.2. The transport of other categories of animals is allowed only with the express approval of the carrier.
2.3. Aggressive, sick, visibly infected, poorly groomed animals, or animals that may endanger passengers or staff may be refused boarding.

3. Transport Conditions

3.1. Pets must be transported: either in a suitable, well-closed and ventilated carrier / bag / transport container; or, in the case of dogs accepted outside a carrier, on a leash and wearing a muzzle, if permitted by the carrier.
3.2. The animal must be kept in such a way that it does not block the aisle, doors, steps, or seats of other passengers.
3.3. The animal may not be placed on a passenger seat unless the carrier expressly allows this and, where applicable, a separate seat is paid for.
3.4. The passenger must ensure control, supervision, and proper behavior of the animal throughout the journey.

4. Required Documents

4.1. The passenger is solely responsible for having all documents required for the animal in accordance with the legislation of the country of departure, transit, and destination.
4.2. At the request of the carrier or the authorities, the passenger must present, where applicable: the pet passport; proof of microchipping; proof of valid rabies vaccination; veterinary health certificate; any other documents required by the authorities of the transit or destination countries.
4.3. The lack of required documents may lead to refusal of carriage, without the carrier being liable for any resulting losses.

5. Fees and Reservation

5.1. The carriage of pets may be subject to an additional fee, according to the carrier’s tariffs.
5.2. Depending on the size of the animal, the type of vehicle, and the duration of the trip, the carrier may require: a fixed fee per animal; payment for a separate seat; a limit on the number of animals accepted per trip.
5.3. Final confirmation of the pet’s carriage is given only after the reservation has been approved by the carrier.

6. Passenger Obligations

6.1. A passenger travelling with a pet is obliged to: maintain cleanliness and hygiene throughout the trip; prevent excessive noise, unpleasant odors, and discomfort to other passengers; carry the necessary accessories, including a leash, muzzle, absorbent pad, wipes, or other hygiene items, where applicable; comply with the instructions of the driver and the carrier’s staff.
6.2. The passenger is fully liable for any damage caused by the animal to other passengers, their luggage, the vehicle, or the carrier’s staff.

7. Limitations and Refusal of Boarding

7.1. The carrier may refuse to board the animal if: there is no prior approval; the required documents are not presented; the animal is not transported in a safe and appropriate manner; the animal shows aggression or causes significant discomfort; the transport may affect the safety of the trip or the reasonable comfort of other passengers.
7.2. In such cases, the carrier is not obliged to bear any additional expenses of the passenger.

8. Carrier’s Liability

8.1. The carrier is not liable for refusal of entry of the animal into the territory of a state, quarantine, detention, return from the route, or other measures imposed by the competent authorities due to improper documents or failure to meet legal requirements.
8.2. The carrier is not liable for the health condition of the animal if the passenger did not inform the carrier in advance about any special conditions required.
8.3. The carrier may interrupt the carriage of the animal if, during the trip, it becomes dangerous, uncontrollable, or endangers safety and order on board.

9. Guide Dogs and Assistance Dogs

9.1. Guide dogs and assistance dogs accompanying persons with disabilities are accepted for carriage in accordance with the law and upon presentation of the relevant supporting documents.
9.2. The carrier may request prior notification in order to properly arrange the trip.

10. Final Provisions

10.1. By booking and undertaking a journey with a pet, the passenger confirms that they have read and accepted these rules.
10.2. These rules are supplemented by the applicable legislation of the Republic of Moldova, the transit states, and the destination state.
